Shortness of breath, the urge to flee or fight, dizziness, hyperventilating, palpitations, sweating, anxiety, these are some o the symptoms of a panic attack. In most situations it happens all at once or at least in quick succession. The first time it happens it can be quite worrying because you don’t really know what is happening. The first few times it happens is when the feeling is worst. After a few times you may learn to cope with it and move on in life.

The fact is that there is no known real cure for it except for some life style changes. People who drink a lot of caffeine and use a lot of tobacco tend to be more prone to anxiety attack. After you have experienced panic attacks a few times you will know just before it happens. There are a few things that you can do to help bring it down or even avoid it. The following are some tips to help those of you to cope with panic attacks in a better way. The way how each person experiences a panic attack may be slightly different, nevertheless these tips should help you.

The fist and foremost thing to do is don’t stop breathing at any cost. Most people will simply forget to breathe properly. It is important to do this when you first experience the attack. After that slow down your thinking and try to relax. This combination of deep breathing and relaxing is similar to what women in labor go through and it is also helpful for panic attacks.Think Happy. After you have the breathing under control, think of something or somebody that makes you happy. It’s what some people call going to your “happy place”.

Walking. If possible leave whatever you are doing especially if it is a stressful situation and go out doors for a walk. This way your body is moving and you will also be able to breathe some fresh air. While walking, talk to people, even strangers, anything to distract yourself from your present situation.

Tell yourself that a panic attack is a short term problem. Remember, when it happens it will not last for a long time. Even though at that moment it can be frightening. Telling yourself that it is not dangerous can be very effective.Once you have mastered these you will never get affected by these little attacks.

Now, find out how to stop panic attacks for good. There are many resources out there, but you should look into natural ways before taking prescription medications. Learning how to cure panic attacks should be your only priority, nobody should live their life with this illness.

Panic attacks are very frightening not only for the person suffering, but for anyone who is around them. Often feeling as though they are suffocating or having a heart attack, the feeling can be very overwhelming. There are some techniques for panic attacks that can help to relieve this fear and apprehension.

Generally, panic attacks can last around thirty minutes or so. They can, however, be as brief as 15 seconds to as long as several hours. If you or someone you know suffers from these attacks often, it is important that you learn some basic techniques that can help to alleviate the symptoms.

The most important step toward controlling and easing the panic attack is to control your breathing. Take deep and slow breaths in your nose and out your mouth, and the symptoms can often subside. It is advisable that you practice this type of breathing technique at home, and become familiar with it. This can help aid in using it during an attack, when breathing correctly is more difficult.

These episodes are often brought on by the mindset of the sufferer. For instance, dwelling on frightening thoughts or depressing parts of one’s life can trigger these attacks. It is wise to try and avoid situations that make you uncomfortable as much as possible. If you feel an attack coming, interrupt your brain activity with happy thoughts and try and regain a positive attitude. Anything that can cheer you up can stall an attack in it’s tracks.

There are some simple lifestyle changes that can have a preventative effect. It is important that you get plenty of sleep for your mind to function in a healthy way. Exercise is ideal as well, as it helps to ease stress. Be sure and maintain a healthy diet and take all medications exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Also helpful is avoiding caffeine and sugar.

Although you cannot simply make a panic attack less-frightening, you can learn to take control of your thoughts, your body, and your situation. With just a few basic ideas and techniques, you can begin battling these episodes head on. There is no need to let this condition effect your life.

People with insomnia often undergo a difficult time in keeping their mind focused. Often they are daunted with so much random thoughts that make it hard for them to fall asleep. Anyone could possibly have insomnia, especially problem ridden people because they tend to think too much about finding solutions to their problems and thus keeping their mind relentlessly processing. A common solution to insomnia is the intake of sleep inducing pills or sleeping pills. But this intake fosters a high risk of addiction and being extensively medicated with this could lead to several more healthy complications. Nevertheless, there are natural means to combat insomnia and here are some of them.

Soundproofing the Room

One obvious factor to consider as a reason why one might have difficulties in sleeping would be the level of noise that penetrates into your room. A considerable level of external auditory distraction could lead to sleeping disturbance. With that said, make sure that your room is noise insulated to ensure optimum sleep. While it could be effective choose to edify the walls of your room with noise insulating materials or construct it in a way that it becomes impenetrable to noise, it would also be practically expensive. A cheap way to do away with unwanted noise is to establish another sound within the room on a tolerable level. For example, sleeping with the fan on could help. The humming of the fan breeze could naturally put you to sleep.

Reading

One of the oldest most traditional means to induce sleep apart counting sheep is through reading before sleeping. It helps you keep your focus on one thing instead of your mind’s attention being diverted into the many things that worries you. Problems and worries could result to trouble falling asleep. And to do away with it during bedtime can be to set your mind on something; ideally, something that interests you. Reading an exciting novel or comic could help ease your mind. Although sometimes hypersensitive people often regard excitation as a mental stimulation, for this case you can read boring books instead to knock you down.

Room Lighting Condition

There are cases when the cause of difficulty in sleeping is due to the amount of light exposure in the room. Some might find a fairly lit room not conducive for sleeping, for this case, they adjust the lighting condition of the room into much dimmer proportions. They could either do one of two things: 1. Purchase a sleeping lamp and have it turned on instead of the regular room light. They are usually designed dim for lighting conditions suitable for sleeping. 2. Make use of dim lit bulbs for the room. The key really here is to acquaint yourself with how much lighting exposure you are most comfortable with when you sleep.

Michelle Anders has dealt with trouble falling asleep issues for several year and have become a known expert on this field. Putting all his psychological expertise hands-on combating and providing a cure to insomnia.

It is hard for our mind to remember all of it. And this certainly doesn’t help improve memory. The thought process is very complex and indeed fascinating at the same time. If you want to be able to remember details of your day write them down in a journal or a diary. Your thinking process will improve as you do this.

You should attempt to make the recording of events and emotions a routine part of your day. You should not evaluate your thoughts at this time. This will allow you to determine your true emotions surrounding a particular subject. In order to help improve memory, you should attempt to recall all the minute aspects of a certain event.

Try to assess what each of your five senses were doing during that event. If you want to truly improve the way in which your ideas are formed, you need to record your thoughts on a daily basis. A lot of people write in their journals right before bedtime as a way to calm down after the day, and to help improve memory.

Some people feel that they can inspire their entire day by writing down their thoughts and feelings before they do anything else in the morning. If you write down the goals that you wish to achieve, you have a greater chance of actually achieving them in the near future.

Doing so will provide you with a visual record of your goals. You should use that record as a way to motivate you on a daily basis, and to keep yourself focused on your goals. Your goals should be saved somewhere that is easily accessible for you to look at each day. Set aside an amount of time (approximately 15 minutes) in which you will write every day. You don’t want to evaluate your thoughts at this time. Simply do a little brainstorming.

It is fine to jump from one subject to another. Don’t worry about sentence structure or other aspects of it. The focus should be on allowing your brain to freely work through whatever you are thinking about. It is a great way to clear your mind and to put things into perspective which helps improve memory.

In a lot of cases, it will also lower your stress level, and that can help improve memory. You will no longer need to depend solely upon your recall abilities to remember what happened on a particular day. The time that passes in between the recording of your ideas and re-reading them, will make the memories more precious and endearing to you.

Once and for all you are able to boost your brain power naturally with these types of secrets and techniques shown right here. You are able to discover the simple approaches it requires to develop more robust brain power so you can remember nearly anything.

Relaxation is the key to a good quality sleep. When your body is free of any form of tension it is easier for it to rest and thus you likely to have a deep, untroubled slumber. There are ways to do this. The fastest way to do about it is the use of medications that induce sleep, namely sleeping pills. This have been proven effective over time. However, they are not all good because pills can potentially lead to dependency and addiction. It could further result into much more dangerous complications and as much as possible we should avoid this. Fortunately there are natural methods to ensure good quality sleep. And they are also proven to work over time. One of this is meditation.

Meditation is a proven technique to promote relaxation both the mind and body. It helps to keep all your troubles and worries away at the time when you need it most; for example, sleeping. It would be difficult to fall asleep when you have too many troubles and worries bothering your head, you will find it hard to keep focused on putting yourself asleep. Meditation will help you through this.

There are many types of meditation that you can choose as an option to treat their troubles in falling asleep. Each type varies in their approach in dealing with the problem but nevertheless effective in one way or the other.

Here are some basic steps in successfully meditating:

Establishing a Focus

Meditation is all about setting your mind on one thing. Basically to keep it focused so as not to be distracted by any negative affects in order to achieve a peaceful state of mind. But before you can establish focus it would be natural that you look for something first to put your focus on. This can be a material, a goal, an imaginary place and what not. Anything goes, as long as it keeps your mind intact in one place. Some people make use of mantra. A mantra is a statement or a phrase that speak of repetitively in order to establish harmony and focus on one’s meditation. Some make use of materials like balls or candles to keep their eyes on. It helps to keep them focused. The key to having a good focus is to always remember to bring the mind back to where the focus is. This technique would require some time to practice in order perfect it. If comes the time that you are able to get a hold with the technique, you may find yourself effectively meditating for 10-15 minutes and find yourself having a good sleep after.

A Good Setting

Another way to effectively meditate is to find a place conducive for meditation. Sometimes the underlying to properly mediate is due to inherent distractions of a particular place. This could be anything in the room that makes you feel awkward, uncomfortable, or inconvenient. Seek a room where you can feel peace and harmony. Or you can get rid of these things that imply a certain sense of negative feeling to it. This can be achieved by keenly paying attention to your senses. Again, this technique needs practice but if achieved in time, the results are very rewarding.

Meditation has always been a proven help to a lot of troubled sleepers. Recently a type of meditation has gained enormous popularity. This is meditation through guided imagery. Guided imagery meditation would require you to follow certain steps to effectively enhance your sleeping conditions. Also this treatment would employ hypnosis and relaxation.

But before you can start with the treatment you would have to comply with some basic requirements first to fully optimize the meditation process. One would be to find a room completely insulated from any external and internal distractions. Second is to find a convenient position to begin with. After that you can begin with the next steps.

1.	Find your Relaxation Point

Look for a state of mind where you are most comfortable and convenient at. It would help to visualize or imagine a place where everything is peaceful and harmonious. A garden or an empty room are the best pictures for the mind to come up with.

2.	Relax

Of course most importantly after finding that relaxation point is to relax. The more relaxed you are the better. From relaxation will then begin a good and effective mediation. Relaxation can be achieved through releasing the tension of your muscles setting your entire body at ease state. Physical relaxation is the key to unlocking the next door to transcendence.

3.	Peace of Mind

Now this is another very important thing to achieve in meditating. Peace of mind is a very crucial in before fully immersing yourself in a state of peace. Your mind must not be easily diverted to some other stuff that could distract your peace. Distractions like noise and or humdrums from any external entity should be prevented from getting into you. You can do that by keeping your mind on a focus. This focus will serve as a place for you to go back to each and evrery time you find your attention being drifted away.

4.	Breath Right

Breathing properly entails long, deep and slow breaths. You need not to overdo it though. Just keep it simple and easy in a relaxed kind of way. Make it a point that every after one breath cycle you get to be more and more relaxed. Focus on your breathing would also help your mind focus on the essentials of the meditation process.

5.	Indulge

Sink in deeper to that relaxed feeling you are gradually feeling right now. This is basically indulging more and more to the state you are currently through vis–vis the process. Feel your state of mind and physical systems consolidate into a certain sense of oneness.

6.	Visualize Images

Now you can start visualizing or projecting an image in your mind. The image that culminates all that you feel right as of the moment while going through the meditation process. It doesn’t have to take a regular form; it can be free flowing and irregular in shape but just as long as you can perfectly visualize the idea of it.

You will always find lots of people willing to give you advice especially in terms of what to do and how to do it. I agree that while this is important and useful too, there will also be times when it is better to learn what not to do rather than what to do.

In this article I will share with you the right way to think and to train your subconscious mind the right way, but I will not do it by telling you what to do, but by rather sharing with you what to avoid and not do. This will help you to train up your mind and your subconscious and place a powerful weapon in your hands.

So here are my top 5 things you should not do and avoid:

1. Do not entertain thoughts of failure. It is vitally important that you keep thoughts of failure away from you and subsequently all the negative forces associated with it. Instead concentrate on positive things and let positive energy flood you and your thoughts.

2. Do not think too much about the future or worry about it. This is because this takes you away from actually doing something in the present where you can actually shape your future. Alternatively, just live in the moment, have lots of fun and do what you do best and what you enjoy the most.

3. Don’t think of lack or of not having your needs met. Such thoughts will place a limit on you and should be avoided at all cost. Doubt and fear will really limit you. You should rather dream of being very rich and of having lots of money and actually see yourself spending it and making even more money.

4. Do not fear enemies or what others can do to you. The reason is that no one can really control your life and only you truly have the power of control over your life. Instead you ought to make a daily list of things to do and stick to it without fail.

5. Do not place too much emphasis on your old age or think too much about it from right now. The future is too far away and should not really be your concern right now. Instead keep in mind that what you do today will have a bearing on your future and also your old age. Learn to live in the now.

These are a few of the things you should avoid at all costs. Do them and you will be well on your way to releasing the power of a supercharged subconscious mind in your life and then nothing will hold you back. Start with avoiding these costly mistakes.
